Simple and elegant. This is a very special ring made from New Zealand alluvial beach gold, you can read more about why it's such a great choice for a wedding ring here.

You may notice our ethical gold has tiny surface imperfections which in no way compromise the strength of the ring, but tell the story of it's origin.

The main photo shows a 3mm wide band with a single 1.5mm recycled diamond setting, made with 14kt ethical yellow gold, but it can also be made in a variety of metals. The last photo shows the various metals available. Not sure what metal to pick? Check out this blog post.

Ring sizing can be tricky, please see our sizing guide above for help. If your size is not available in the drop-down menu, please get in touch for a custom quote.

We finish our jewellery matte. Satin and high polish are also available upon request. Rings seem to find their own degree of polish as they're worn, matte rings become more shiny and shiny rings become more matte. We can provide instructions on how to bring your ring back to its original finish if necessary.

Orders over $1000 include a handmade wooden ring box and courier express shipping. All other orders come minimally packaged in a recycled kraft box.

Once an order is placed, it generally takes 3-6 weeks to be completed depending on the design and materials used. If you need something in a hurry, we can almost always accommodate, just get in touch.

If purchasing from outside New Zealand you may be charged import duties by your country's customs department. In our experience it's most likely you won't be charged at all but sometimes it does happen and unfortunately it's something we have no control over.

We want you to love your piece and for it to be comfortable to wear everyday! If it's not, we’ll refund (minus postage) or replace upon receipt of the original item in an unworn condition. Returns must be made within 60 days.

Resizing

Please make every effort to get an accurate size. We are happy to do the first resize free of charge but subsequent resizes will be charged for. Anything that’s our fault of course we will fix for free.

Rings with stones or custom work can be a little trickier to resize so this can take some extra time.

Titanium cannot be resized so it is very important to get the size right first time. If the size needs to be adjusted any more than 1/4 of a size up a new ring will need to be purchased. For more information about titanium check out this blog post.

Jewellery care

Re-etching, blackening and cleaning we are happy to do anytime for the cost of postage.

Returns

Please get in touch for information on how to return items for resizing, repair or refund. info@ashhilton.com

To determine your correct finger size, you need to first figure out what width of ring you’d like as this directly affects the size needed. As the width increases the size needs to increase a little as well.

Almost any thickness/width/finger size is possible - including ¼ finger sizes but with etchings usually 3mm is as narrow as we like to go.

The best thing to do is to try on rings with different widths to find which one you like the look and feel of. When you find one that is the right size and width, measure the size - to the edge of the ring.

Another way to find the right width is to cut pieces of card in different widths and wrap them around your finger.

If you are using an existing ring to find a size, the inside diameter is what you're looking for, small amounts make a big difference so a measurement to the nearest ¼ of a millimetre is needed.

You can also purchase plastic finger sizes here.

For a wrist size, a piece of string wrapped around your wrist then measured should do the trick.

If you can't find exactly what you're looking for from the drop down lists, see our customisation options above.
