Hello! Tamsin here. We thought it was about time I shared a little about myself with you lovely lot!
I've been communicating with many of you since 2018 (wow, where did that time go!). I took over from the amazing Pip in the customer service department for Ash Hilton Jewellery and it's been such a pleasure working and growing with AHJ whānau ever since.
Before I spill a bit more about me I just want to show some gratitude to the amazing humans I'm very lucky to work with. I feel so fortunate to be in a workplace that fully supports personal growth and self care. Since having my wee bundle of joy, Laurel has been extremely supportive and flexible, allowing me to maximise this special family time as well as making sure I'm feeling fulfilled at work. I'm stoked to be part of a business that supports working primary carers and I feel so honoured to be taking up the baton from Ash as the new Custom Design creator.
So a little more about me... I grew up in beautiful Golden Bay on an olive grove. I love to garden, drink tea, groove to good music and spend time in nature.
I studied Textile Design at Massey University and worked in the creative city of Pōneke Wellington. After a stint of traveling overseas my partner and I felt the call to head closer to home, so we jumped islands and moved back to sunny Whakatū Nelson, which is when my journey here began.
Alongside being part of the team here at AHJ I've had my own wee design business specialising in illustration and surface pattern design. In 2023 my partner and I welcomed our baby, Charlie, into the world and ever since I've been soaking up the amazing (and sometimes wild) experience of parenthood. With Charlie turning one the other week I'm excited to dip my toes back into designing and fill my creative cup by working with you lovely folks to make your custom design dreams come true!
